The Story that Inspired My Blog

So here it is. A crazy story about a 15 year old girl who has lived by the YOLO (you only live once … just for you older out of touch folk…lol) theory which made some decisions very interesting and I’m sure also entertaining for the audience. Every time I have shared this story I was told I should write a book, since 15 years old there are many many more crazy stories but I’m pretty sure this is when my mother and step-father realized they would have their hands full with me. OK… here is one of my most favorite escapades! It was 1994, I was 15 years old living with my sister, Kerri, my mother and step father. My step father loved sports and constantly encouraged me to stay active in sports as well as follow our favorite professional teams. He decided to bring us to a Red Sox game one night. SUPRISE!! YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!

I have had some information delivered to me in some unique ways. Lets begin with the stories of me finding out about my pregnancies. Yes, all three of my children were unexpected blessings who are all five years apart. For reasons I won't get into they do have different fathers. Judge me if you want, I know I'm good with my maker on decisions I have made and the miracles that resulted. I will start with my first child, Izaiah. (I spelt his name with a Z for uniqueness ... I was 18 years old and now I understand I created aggravation for my poor boy... lol). I met Izaiah's father when I was about 16 years old working at a club in Brockton, MA. It was a popular club at the time since they were advertising it on a popular radio station. I worked the coat check and he was security (Brotherhood Security). TATTOOS

Every time someone asks, I still have to count how many tattoos I have. The number has changed a few times over the years. Hang on ... I'm counting ... O.K. we are at 10 for now. I know that number will change again. Getting a tattoo is some kind of spiritual ritual that I do, usually at emotionally hard times in my life. I do not regret any of them! They all hold memories to those different periods in my life. My last tattoo is an army helmet that has the word LOVER written across it. I got it a few months after Tommy passed away (my fiance who passed at 39 years old on May 19, 2021). He was an Iraqi Freedom Combat Veteran, a gunner on a HumVee and had been through so much emotionally as combat continued to take its toll on him many years after his deployment.
